Meet the candidates
Netta Doron
Netta Doron has spent nearly twenty years in the technology industry — almost a decade at Wix, where she rose from senior engineer to team leader and software architect, and then as chief technology officer of two startups, building products hands-on and answering for the results.
She holds an engineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania. In her most recent role she joined a young startup as an extra pair of hands and quickly became its CTO — writing code herself in Python and React, managing the development team, and shipping the product. That is the working style she brings to public service: understand the problem, look at the actual numbers, and stay with it until it's fixed.
Netta and her husband Tal have made Cresskill home since 2020, raising their two children here. As a parent she is hands-on — an active voice at her children's school, championing change on behalf of students and families. When something isn't working, she rolls up her sleeves and stays with it until the change is made.
"Rolls up her sleeves and stays with it until the change is made."
She is running for Borough Council because Cresskill deserves the same rigor: a budget read line by line, services that work the way residents expect, and a council that shows its work.

Guy Peleg
Guy Peleg has been a Cresskill resident since 2012, where he lives with his wife and their four children. All of their children attended Cresskill public schools, and two are currently in the Cresskill school system.
He is a business owner, technology executive, and former member of the Cresskill Planning Board. Guy brings more than 25 years of experience in the technology industry, including founding and leading Maklee Engineering, a consulting company established in 2008. He has worked with major financial institutions, corporations, and organizations around the world, managing complex projects, leading engineering teams, and helping organizations improve efficiency and solve difficult operational problems.
As a business owner, Guy understands the importance of managing budgets and making responsible financial decisions. He believes municipal government should apply the same discipline to spending taxpayers' money.

Our priorities
Four commitments we share — the same standards both of us have worked by for more than two decades in business.
Reduce municipal spending
Carefully examine the borough's budget and eliminate unnecessary expenses. A borough budget is not a rubber stamp: every line item should have to justify itself, and what isn't working gets cut — not carried forward out of habit.
Greater transparency
Give residents a clear understanding of how their tax dollars are spent. It's your money: clear, accessible reporting on spending, so anyone in Cresskill can check the books without filing a records request and waiting.
Improve efficiency
Streamline operations and find opportunities for cost savings. Modernize the processes residents deal with every day — permits, payments, public notices — so borough services are faster, simpler, and cheaper to run.
Ease the property tax burden
Bring fiscal discipline to municipal government while preserving essential borough services. Cresskill families feel the tax bill every year; the honest way to ease it is to cut what's wasteful and protect what matters — public safety, roads, and recreation.
